TOUCH Community Services wanted to help children aged 5–9 learn about essential cyber awareness and online safety. The ultimate goal was not simply to give dry advice, but to make children genuinely excited to learn through an engaging animated series. We developed four unique animated episodes designed for independent child viewing, co-viewing with parents, and classroom environments. 

The project required building a complete concept entirely from scratch including characters, comprehensive world-building, and scriptwriting while ensuring the final output remained engaging yet carefully low-stimulating for young, developing minds.

Inspired by the familiar “undo” command, Ctrl+Z introduces Zara, a student who transforms into a cyberhero when online trouble strikes, alongside her trusty otter sidekick, Pixi. Together, they step into a brand-new digital universe in every single episode to tackle crucial everyday habits and risks, ranging from managing gaming habits and screen time to navigating algorithm loops and avoiding unknown links. 

Because the series was meticulously designed for children aged 5–9, every color choice, sound design asset, and pacing decision was thoughtfully considered. We kept subtle touches of vibrant neon linked directly to online dangers, but carefully balanced them with lighter, calmer tones to avoid overly loud or harmful visuals, ensuring the series felt adventurous and captivating without overstimulating young viewers.

Across the four distinct episodes by featuring customized digital worlds like The Gaming Zone for healthier gaming habits, Habitopolis for recognizing endless scrolling, the Algo Maze for understanding algorithms, and the Data Stream for avoiding suspicious links. 

Working closely from TOUCH’s insights, these elements were crafted to make every lesson memorable, sparking meaningful conversations at home between parents and children long after the screen went dark.
