Augmented Reality Experience
Re-Route Festival AR Monster is an augmented reality experience created as part of Re-Route: Orchard (RROR), a creative festival under Singapore Design Week 2024, organised by PLUS Group Singapore.
The main monster character was originally created by ANTZ, whose expressive character design formed the foundation of the experience. Building on this concept, our team adapted and animated the character for AR focusing on performance, scale, and interaction so it would feel naturally grounded in the real world.
Our task was to create two AR animations placed along Orchard Road. Event attendees accessed the experiences by scanning QR codes, instantly bringing animated characters into their real-world surroundings. The goal wasn’t just to impress visually, but to create moments of surprise, experiences that felt welcoming, curious, and fun.
